Webmaster as a Profession - Webmasters are practitioners of web communication. Normally, they are generalists with HTML expertise who are responsible for managing all aspects of Web operations.

In larger sites, the webmaster will act as coordinator and supervisor of the activities of others working on the site and is usually an employee of the owner of the website, webmaster, therefore, may also be classified as an occupation.
